On Sunday, June 20, 2010 ( Fathers Day) the Canada West Region of the Porsche Club of North America held their fabulous Show and Shine display of 85 Porsches, plus a few surprise cars, in the 2400 block of Marine Drive in Dundarave Village in West Vancouver. Over the years the number of cars on display has been increasing and the revenue raised has also continued to increase. Families, especially the male components in the families, enjoy coming down to Dundarave Village. While many won't get a chance to own a Porsche--it is nice to dream.
At exactly 1:00 P.M. all cars on display left for a Parade style drive up scenic Cypress Mountain. Many found out what it was like to drive up a mountain in a Porsche by getting a ride in one of the Parade cars. All they had to do was to make a $25 or higher donation to the Canadian Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. The 2010 Show and Shine raised close to $5,000 for cystic fibrosis research! A big "Thank you" to all participants and to everyone who supported the event .
